Could it be????????

Yes, it's a tooth! Charlie is cutting his first tooth! He may be 12 1/2 months old, none the less, we have a tooth! I can't believe it, I thought we were going to have to buy baby dentures! YEAH!!!!!

12 Month Checkup

Yesterday Charlie went for his 12 month well exam and vaccinations. He weighed 20 lbs. 11 oz. and was 29 3/4 inches long. The weight puts him in the 25th percentile and the length at the 50th. He still hasn't cut a tooth, but that hasn't stopped him from eating anything. He's been walking for almost 2 months and says about 5 words that you can totally understand, the rest is baby jabber. Still no dairy until we try again at 15 months. 3 yucky shots, but mommy and some soy milk calmed him right down. Lily went with us and secretly enjoyed not being on the receiving end of the needle for once.

The children and I are so excited that Travis is coming home today from a week in Texas. Lily misses his so much when he's away.

Tommorow is Chancellor's 10th birthday! I can not believe that he's going to be 10!!! He asked me to make him his favorite meal, homemade mexican and for dessert he wants a choclate cake with choclate icing. (Sounds like my cravings during certain times of the month!)

Love at first sight

Lily loves Jack so much she wanted to share dinner with him, sleep with him and have him watch her movies with her. The
above picture shows the position she was in for the entire evening. When she went to bed she asked me if she could give Jack a touch, hug and kiss goodnight. :)

SHHHH....

I have a special surprise for Lily. She keeps telling me she wants an inside pet and I keep saying no. Well she finally got her wish, kind of. Today, her nana and I got her Jack. Jack is a beautiful beta fish. I knew that I didn't want a inside pet but that sweet face asking and asking has worn me down. I can not wait to see her expression when I give it to her! I'll post tomorrow, as I am sure I'll have a good story.

Charlie's 1st Birthday

Happy Birthday, sweet Charlie! Saturday was Charlie's 1st birthday, but we had his party Sunday afternoon. I made my little pig a pig cake, which he loved. I cannot believe that my little redheaded wonder is one! This year has flown by. Thanks to all of the family who made the trip to celebrate such a special day with us. Charlie, your mommy thinks the sun rises and sets in your sweet face. You were such a wanted child, and I am so thankful that I am lucky enough to be your mommy. You bring joy and light to everyone around you and you make my life so full. Your daddy, Chancellor, Lily and I love you so much and can't wait to spend each and everyday of our lives growing with you. Happy Birthday my love.

So busy...

We are back from my conference in Hilton Head. Work went great and Travis was the BEST Mr. Mom for me while I was busy! Chancellor and Lily loved the beach of course and Charlie ate 10 handfuls of sand. He loves being in water and I think he may grow up wanting to sail the seas.

This Saturday Emily and I are hosting a Castles and Crowns party at her house in Camden. Later that evening we are having poker night at our house, complete with 7 kids!


Next Saturday, Charlie will be one. How fast a year goes when you are madly in love with a toothless, redhead! I'll try and post more often, hope everyone is having a great summer!
